Indoor (Fall/Winter) House League 2011/2012

registration will start in the first week of September.

The winter house league program offers players between the ages of six and 12 (as of December 31, 2011) the opportunity to play in organized games throughout the winter at an indoor facility, running from November to March.

The style of play is different from the outdoor season, as the games take place in school gymnasiums and use a smaller 5-against-5 format. There are no designated breaks for substitutions, players enter and leave the field frequently and the ball is almost always in motion. As well, the league uses futsal (indoor soccer) balls, which are heavier than outdoor balls in order to reduce bouncing.  

All of these aspects of the winter program help players work on their short passes, their quickness and their reaction times, skills which can be readily applied to the outdoor season. Plus, as players and coaches might tell you, the fast-paced indoor game is also a lot of fun!

 

New This Year:
North Toronto Soccer Club is pleased to announce that we are adding a “girls only” division for our Indoor House League this year, playing on Tuesdays. Girls can still play on Wednesdays, if they prefer.

Program Dates:
Girls Division:   Nov 8 to March 6 (Tuesdays)  
Mixed Division (Primarily Boys): Nov 9 to March 21 (Wednesdays) – no game on Dec 14th  
Winter Break:   no games on Dec 27 and 28 and Jan 3 and 4

Times:
Players born in 2004-2005:          6:30 –7:30pm  
Players born in 2002-2003:          7:30 –8:30pm
Players born in 1999-2001:          8:30 –9:30pm

Program Duration:
The program will run for 16 weeks (incl. 2 playoff games).  During the first two weeks, NTSC technical staff will provide instruction and an indoor soccer overview, followed by an exhibition game.

Location:
All games are played in gyms at Bialik Hebrew Day School, 2760 Bathurst Street (south of Glencairn). Click here for a map and TTC directions.

Fee:
$240 per player, which includes the uniform (jersey, shorts and socks). Players will need to wear shin-guards as well as either indoor soccer shoes or clean, white-soled running shoes to play.

Refund Policy:
Written cancellations received by Sept 27th will get a full refund (a $25 admin fee will apply). Cancellations received before Oct 18th will receive a refund for 50% of the fee. There will be no refunds after Oct 18th, except for certifiable medical reasons. Cancellation requests must be sent to administration@ntsoccer.com.
